BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has urged Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to intervene in resolving the problems faced by students of the JNTU Engineering College in Rajanna Siricilla district, stressing the need to expedite construction of its permanent campus and ensure that academic activities continue without disruption.

KTR pointed out that the permanent campus project, which received administrative approval for ₹402 crore in 2021, has yet to take off despite land being allotted for the purpose. The government had earmarked 20 acres at Mandepalli village for the institution, but construction has made no progress, he said.

In the absence of a dedicated campus, the engineering college continues to operate temporarily from the premises of a degree college at Agraharam. The delay in establishing permanent infrastructure has raised concerns about the institution's future arrangements and the convenience of students, faculty members and other staff.

KTR expressed concern over proposals to shift the college from its existing premises to another private building. Such a move could cause avoidable inconvenience and disrupt the academic environment, particularly when classrooms, laboratories and other infrastructure are already available at the current location.

He called on the Chief Minister to release the necessary funds and initiate construction at Mandepalli without further delay. Until the permanent campus is completed, KTR urged the government to allow the college to continue functioning from its present premises.

He also sought clear instructions to the concerned officials not to issue notices requiring the college to vacate the existing building before suitable alternative arrangements are finalised. Any premature relocation, he warned, could create difficulties for students and staff and affect the continuity of academic activities.

Highlighting the institution's importance, KTR said the college plays a significant role in providing technical education to students from Rajanna Siricilla district and neighbouring areas. He appealed to Revanth Reddy to treat the matter as a priority and take immediate steps to protect students' interests.

KTR maintained that completing the permanent campus and ensuring stable facilities were essential to safeguarding the institution's future and providing students with an uninterrupted learning environment.
