KTR Slams Revanth Reddy, Calls Him Telangana’s Most Inefficient CM
BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy during a major municipal election rally in Tandur, accusing the Congress government of indulging in “ politics of intimidation ” and describing Revanth as the most inefficient Chief Minister in Telangana’s history. Addressing a large public gathering in Vikarabad district, KTR alleged that the Chief Minister frequently resorts to abusive language against political opponents, the public and even women , rather than focusing on governance and development.
Stating that Telangana had previously seen leaders such as N. T. Rama Rao, N. Chandrababu Naidu, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, K. Rosaiah, N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, and K. Chandrashekar Rao , KTR said no previous Chief Minister had spoken in such a derogatory manner. He claimed that over the past two years, the government had focused more on criticism than governance , alleging widespread corruption and exploitation . He further alleged that those questioning the implementation of election promises were being threatened with false cases , though he asserted that the public would not be intimidated.
Focusing on election issues, KTR accused the Congress of failing to deliver on its much-publicised six guarantees , saying several promises remain unfulfilled . He urged voters to assess the government based on delivery of welfare schemes rather than speeches. He particularly highlighted the Rythu Bharosa commitment, alleging that farmers were cheated after being promised ₹15,000 per acre in the presence of Sonia Gandhi .
Raising a local issue, KTR expressed dissatisfaction that a nursing college sanctioned earlier for Tandur had been shifted and repurposed as the Kodangal Medical College , calling it unfair to divert an educational institution meant for the town. He also dismissed the Chief Minister’s promise of ₹1,000 crore for Tandur as misleading , demanding clarity on the future of the proposed college and local development plans.
Alleging vote-buying using illegally acquired money, KTR called on party workers and voters to ensure BRS victories in all 36 wards of the Tandur municipality. He urged the electorate to vote for the party’s car symbol , framing the municipal elections as a referendum on the Congress government’s performance and credibility.
