KTR Questions CM’s Decorum, Slams Language Used Against KCR
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) launched a sharp attack on Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy , accusing him of using highly objectionable language against former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) at a public meeting in Nalgonda. KTR said the Chief Minister’s remarks reflected a lack of decorum and were unbecoming of the office he holds.
Reacting on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, KTR alleged that Revanth Reddy’s statements revealed arrogance and administrative incompetence. He remarked that despite claiming to have undergone extensive training at institutions such as Harvard, the Chief Minister had failed to display basic civility. Drawing a sharp analogy, KTR said merely occupying a high position does not elevate one’s stature and that disrespecting a leader like KCR was an insult to the institution itself.
KTR recalled that KCR led the Telangana statehood movement and, as the first Chief Minister, laid the foundation for the State’s development. He accused Revanth Reddy of resorting to abusive language to divert attention from governance failures, calling it a reflection of his frustration and inability to administer effectively.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy earlier made sensational allegations regarding the alleged phone-tapping case during the previous BRS regime. He claimed that conversations of political leaders, judges, journalists, and even private citizens were illegally monitored. Questioning KCR’s moral authority, Revanth Reddy said no individual had the right to intrude into citizens’ personal lives and asserted that those responsible for such actions were unfit to project themselves as champions of the State.
With leaders from both sides trading sharp accusations, the war of words between the BRS and the Congress has further intensified, adding to the growing political heat in Telangana.
