KTR criticizes Congress leadership over unfulfilled promises
BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) launched a sharp attack on the Congress leadership, accusing the party of failing to fulfill its election promises. Speaking in Warangal, he highlighted instances where Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, had made assurances but did not follow through.
KTR pointed out that during the elections, Congress had promised 200,000 jobs at Ashoknagar and debt waivers for farmers, but these promises remain unfulfilled. “Who should be held accountable for breaking their word? How many times do we need to call out Rahul Gandhi for failing to deliver on these promises?” he asked. He further criticized the Congress party for misleading the public with over 400 unfulfilled commitments, calling it a massive betrayal of trust.
The remarks came during a PowerPoint presentation organized by Harish Rao at Telangana Bhavan, where KTR also condemned the Chief Minister for allegedly making inappropriate statements about K. Chandrashekar Rao and Harish Rao. He called such comments “unacceptable” and “damaging to democratic norms.”
KTR criticized the Speaker's silence on these developments, saying it was disappointing that no action was taken. He accused the Congress leadership of using personal attacks to divert attention from their failures, asserting that their political tactics are a way to escape accountability.
