KTR Challenges CM Revanth to Sitting Judge Probe into Family Assets

BRS working president K T Rama Rao (KTR) has challenged Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to agree to a comprehensive probe by a sitting judge of the High Court or Supreme Court into the assets of both families. KTR said the inquiry should cover the period from BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao’s birth in 1954 to the present and from Revanth Reddy’s birth to date.

Speaking at Telangana Bhavan after hoisting the national flag on the occasion of National Integration Day, KTR said the BRS was ready to face any investigation conducted by a sitting judge. He said his party had faith in the judiciary and insisted that the government should not rely solely on its own Special Investigation Teams to examine the land-related allegations.

KTR challenged the Chief Minister to accept the proposal and said he was prepared to face punishment if any wrongdoing was established against his family. Responding to allegations surrounding KCR’s Erravelli farmhouse, he questioned claims that the former Chief Minister owned around 1,000 acres. KTR said Revanth had referred to 67 acres in the Assembly and asked the government to identify the remaining land if it believed additional acreage existed. He maintained that KCR had disclosed his landholdings in election affidavits and that the agricultural properties were legally registered.

The BRS leader also criticised the government over the Assembly proceedings, alleging that his party’s members were suspended because they intended to question the Congress government over its election promises. He said the Opposition would raise issues concerning electricity, irrigation, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima and other public concerns if allowed to participate in the proceedings.

KTR accused the Congress government of failing to deliver on its six guarantees and manifesto commitments. He raised concerns over power supply, recruitment, irrigation and pending fee reimbursement payments, while alleging that the government had failed to meet its employment promises.

On Sirisilla, KTR challenged Revanth Reddy to release a white paper detailing the alleged 8,000 acres of government land said to have been transferred through the Dharani system, including survey numbers and details of the alleged beneficiaries.

KTR also rejected allegations against the KCR family’s wealth and defended his own financial background. He accused the government of using land disputes to divert attention from its election promises and said the BRS would continue to fight over issues it considers failures of the Congress administration.
