KTR Calls Out Revanth Reddy as a Longtime BJP Loyalist
Telangana Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) launched a fierce attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy during a public meeting in Banswada on Saturday, as part of the ongoing municipal election campaign.
Addressing the crowd, KTR accused Revanth Reddy of projecting himself as a Congress leader while being a long-time supporter of the BJP . “Peel away his Congress mask, and you’ll find a BJP loyalist inside. At the end of the day, he’s Modi’s man,” KTR said, urging minorities and those opposing communal politics to recognize Reddy’s true political colors.
KTR criticized the Congress for seeking votes by claiming it is in power, questioning what the party had accomplished for urban development in the past two years. He promised that a BRS government would continue its development initiatives in cities and allocate significant budgets for minorities and BCs, while accusing Congress of misleading the public.
Highlighting Congress’s unfulfilled promises, KTR noted that schemes such as the ₹4,000 pension, ₹2,500 financial aid for women, Vidya Bharosa, Rythu Bharosa, and Kalyana Lakshmi remain largely unimplemented. Expressing confidence that BRS will return to power, he demanded answers from Congress on why Pochara Srinivas Reddy recently joined the party.
Taking Aim at Pochara Srinivas Reddy
KTR did not hold back while criticizing Pochara Srinivas Reddy for switching to Congress, despite the development work undertaken in Banswada by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). He recalled Reddy’s past criticisms of Pochara during the Assembly elections, even playing audio and video clips for the audience.
Questioning Pochara’s sudden change of loyalty, KTR challenged him to resign and seek the people’s verdict if he truly had the courage. He concluded by urging the residents of Banswada to once again raise the BRS’s pink flag.
