BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) lashed out at the Congress government, accusing it of abandoning public welfare and functioning solely for “loot and concealment.” He was addressing a large public meeting on Sunday after felicitating BRS councillors of Kyathanpalli municipality in Mancherial district.

KTR alleged that corruption is rampant at all levels , from the Chief Minister to ministers and MLAs. He claimed that illegal collections are being carried out in every constituency under the guise of government schemes. He also criticised what he described as a “tacit understanding” between Congress and the BJP , saying both parties are shielding each other.

KTR accused the government, under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, of turning the state into a “hub of corruption.” He alleged that since coming to power, Congress has been implementing an unwritten “loot-and-hide scheme.”

He claimed that the Singareni Collieries Company has become a centre of exploitation, with tenders allegedly being controlled under the influence of the Chief Minister’s relative Srujan Reddy. Introducing conditions like “site visitation certificate,” he alleged, is being used to blackmail contractors and extract money . Despite an alleged scam worth thousands of crores, he questioned why Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has remained silent.

KTR alleged that while Congress and BJP leaders criticise each other publicly, they act like “partners in crime” behind the scenes. He questioned why the Prime Minister has not ordered any probe into alleged tax collections and irregularities, despite accusations from both sides.

Referring to Kyathanpalli municipality, KTR said democracy was “murdered” despite BRS winning 14 out of 22 seats. He alleged that councillors were intimidated using political pressure.

He also condemned the arrest of former MLA Balka Suman , calling it “vindictive politics,” and said the heavy police deployment reminded people of the Emergency era under Indira Gandhi . He praised councillors who resisted pressure despite alleged inducements.

KTR warned that BRS will not compromise on the interests of Singareni workers. He demanded immediate resolution of medical board issues and alleged that workers are being threatened over hereditary jobs .

“If the Congress does not change its approach, we will lay siege to the Singareni headquarters. We will ignite agitation across every coal mine ,” he warned.

KTR said the Congress has failed to implement its six guarantees even after 30 months in power . He reiterated that only under K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) can the state return to prosperity.

The meeting was attended by senior BRS leaders, representatives of Communist parties, and a large number of party workers.
