KTR Alleges ‘Unbreakable Alliance’ Between Congress and BJP in Telangana

Political tensions in Telangana have escalated after K. T. Rama Rao accused the Congress and the BJP of working in tandem for political convenience. The BRS leader alleged that the state government led by Revanth Reddy and the BJP-led Centre share a tacit understanding, shielding each other’s failures while misleading the public.

Taking a swipe at Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar , Rao said his statements lack the responsibility expected from someone in high office. Referring to allegations of illegal funds being routed to the Congress leadership, Rao questioned why central agencies have not acted if such claims are credible. He also raised concerns over the alleged “RR tax” issue, asking why authorities remain silent.

On governance, Rao criticized the BJP’s role, stating that it has failed to secure adequate support or funds for Telangana . He pointed out that even key religious and development projects, including the Vemulawada Rajarajeshwara Temple , have not received due attention. He further faulted Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy for not responding to alleged irregularities in central schemes and state-run sectors.

Support for RTC Strike

Rao also extended strong support to the ongoing strike by employees of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation , accusing the Congress government of failing to honour its election promises. He demanded immediate settlement of pending dues, including pay revision benefits and arrears.

He said the previous BRS government had initiated steps to improve the status of RTC employees, but the current administration has not followed through. Urging the government to address workers’ grievances without delay, Rao warned that continued inaction could lead to public backlash.

With these remarks, the BRS has sharpened its attack on both national parties, setting the stage for further political confrontation in Telangana .
