KTR accuses CM of betraying BC reservation promises

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) has accused the Congress government of betraying promises made to the Backward Classes (BCs), including the commitment of 42% reservation. Speaking at a party workers’ meeting in Rahmat Nagar, Jubilee Hills, KTR urged party cadres to highlight what the Congress had failed to deliver.

He listed several welfare schemes that have not been fully implemented, including pensions of Rs. 2,000 per month for the elderly (totaling Rs. 48,000), gold gifts under the Koti program for married daughters worth Rs. 67,000, Mahalakshmi scheme benefits of Rs. 40,000 for women, and Batukamma sarees. He emphasized the need to ensure that citizens understand these gaps in Congress’ governance.

KTR called on party workers to confront and rally the public against the shortcomings of Revanth Reddy’s two-year rule. He said the people of Hyderabad should channel their frustration, determination, and energy to ensure a BRS victory in Jubilee Hills.

A call to fight with courage

Speaking emotionally, KTR highlighted the personal struggles of some families, such as the loss of young Gopinath Maganti, and praised the support shown to daughters with small gifts. He urged party members to continue this legacy of support and compassion, stressing that it is their duty to stand by those who have been let down by the Congress government.

KTR also accused Congress of deceiving the public with false promises, noting that residents have legitimate grievances over employment, welfare schemes, and social security. He claimed that despite promises of at least 5% jobs in the 2 lakh government employment drive, these have not been delivered, leaving many families disappointed.

Targeting Revanth Reddy and Congress mismanagement

KTR criticized CM Revanth Reddy’s leadership style, accusing him of making hollow promises and intimidating officials when questioned. He highlighted alleged irregularities, including reports of 43 fake votes being cast in a single household in Jubilee Hills, and called on BRS leaders to motivate every eligible voter to cast their votes correctly.

He urged party workers to spend the next month visiting homes, holding “due card” drives, and educating voters about Congress’ failures. KTR concluded that a strong BRS performance in Jubilee Hills would send a message not only locally but also resonate with political power centers in Delhi.
