Narayanpet District Collector Priyanka has directed officials to complete all pending works at the Sir CV Raman Science Museum in Kosgi within the next two days and make the facility ready for inauguration. Being developed at an estimated cost of Rs 5 crore, the museum is envisioned as an interactive learning space to encourage scientific curiosity and improve students' understanding of science. During her inspection on Wednesday, the Collector reviewed the progress of construction, installation of scientific equipment and arrangements required before the facility opens to the public.

Emphasising that the museum should offer more than just a display of scientific models, Priyanka instructed officials to ensure that every exhibit serves an educational purpose. She asked the education department to take special care of the equipment and put appropriate protective measures in place. Directing District Education Officer Govindarajulu, she suggested installing glass panels around the exhibits to prevent damage and ensure their long-term preservation.

The Collector also stressed the importance of making scientific concepts accessible to young visitors. She directed officials to install large information boards alongside each exhibit, providing details about its name, purpose, functioning and the scientific principles behind it. The explanations should be presented in simple language, enabling students to understand the concepts without difficulty.

Apart from the exhibits, Priyanka reviewed the proposed development of the museum परिसर and called for proper sanitation and landscaping. She instructed officials to plant saplings and develop green spaces to create a clean, attractive and welcoming environment for students, teachers and other visitors.

She further proposed appointing a dedicated science officer to guide students through the exhibits, explain scientific principles and demonstrate experiments once the museum becomes operational. The District Education Officer was asked to identify the required personnel and complete staffing and maintenance arrangements before the inauguration.

Reiterating the urgency of the project, the Collector directed all departments concerned to coordinate closely and finish the remaining work within the stipulated deadline.

District Library Corporation Chairman Varla Vijay Kumar, Kosgi Municipal Chairman Nagulapalli Narender, Public Health Department Superintending Engineer Vijay Bhaskar, Birla Planetarium Director Subrahmanyam, District Science Officer Bhanu Prasad, Municipal Commissioner Nagaraju, Tahsildar Kalyani and other municipal and panchayat raj officials participated in the inspection.
