Telangana is taking a major step forward in industrial development with the completion of the Kondapur Industrial Park in Medak district. IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu announced that construction work for the park, developed with investments of ₹1,000 crore, is now complete and ready for inauguration.

Out of the 64 proposed industrial units in the park, 36 will begin operations in the first phase, creating direct employment opportunities for nearly 5,000 young people.

During a review meeting at the Secretariat, Minister Sridhar Babu instructed officials to ensure that all infrastructure required for industrial operations is completed on time. He emphasized the urgent need to resolve electricity supply issues and fast-track the construction of an approach road connecting the park to the national highway. Remaining infrastructure work must also be completed within the scheduled timeline.

The minister highlighted that the state government’s goal is not just to attract investments on paper but to foster real production and long-term employment. He said the government aims to create an industry-friendly environment under a citizen-focused industrial policy, prioritizing local job creation.

Officials expect that once industries start operating in Kondapur Industrial Park, economic activity in Medak and surrounding areas will increase, benefiting small and medium enterprises as well. The project is seen as a key milestone in Telangana’s industrial growth.
