Kolkata Organisation Donates Rs 2.5 Cr to TTD’s SV Pranadana Trust
A Kolkata-based organisation has donated Rs 2.5 crore to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD)’s Sri Venkateswara Pranadana Trust , which provides free medical treatment to economically weaker patients suffering from life-threatening illnesses.
According to a press release issued by the temple body on Wednesday, the donation was handed over by Anurag Choudhary , trustee of the donor organisation, to TTD Chairman B R Naidu at his camp office in Tirumala.
The Sri Venkateswara Pranadana Trust , established in November 2001, supports free treatment for poor patients battling critical illnesses such as cardiac, kidney, neurological and cancer-related diseases , besides other serious medical conditions.
TTD officials said the contribution would strengthen the trust’s efforts to extend quality healthcare services to underprivileged patients who are unable to afford expensive medical treatment.
