After making waves in theatres during the Diwali season, Kiran Abbavaram’s romantic comedy entertainer “K Ramp” is now gearing up to charm digital audiences. The film, which was released on October 18, will start streaming on the popular OTT platform Aha from November 15.

Directed by Jains Nani, K Ramp was jointly produced by Rajesh Danda and Shiva Bommaku under the banners of Hasyam Movies and Rudransh Celluloids. The film stars Kiran Abbavaram and Yukti Thareja in the lead roles, with veteran actors Naresh and Sai Kumar, and comedians Vennela Kishore, Murali Dhar Goud, Ali, Srinivasa Reddy, and Amrutham fame Narsipeddi Shivannarayana in key supporting roles. The film features music by Chetan Bhardwaj, cinematography by Satish Reddy Masam, and editing by Chota K. Prasad.

The story follows Kumar (Kiran Abbavaram), a mischievous and carefree young man who is sent by his father (Sai Kumar) to a college in Kerala. There, he falls in love with Mercy Joy (Yukti Thareja), who suffers from PTSD, adding layers of emotion and unexpected twists to the plot. The film explores Kumar’s promise to help her overcome her struggles, blending romance, comedy, and emotional drama that appeal to both youth and family audiences.

K Ramp opened strong, grossing ₹4 crore on day one and crossing the ₹50 crore mark overall within days, achieving break-even in just three days. The film also performed well overseas. Kiran Abbavaram’s energetic performance, comic timing, and chemistry with Yukti Thareja were widely praised, though some of Naresh’s dialogues sparked minor controversy. The emotional interval twist and heartfelt moments were highlighted as major strengths.

Following films like Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru, SR Kalyanamandapam, Sammathame, and Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha, Kiran Abbavaram solidified his position as a youth favorite. K Ramp emerged as a Diwali hit, boosting his career further. Aha is promoting it as the “Year-end wholesome entertainer”, giving those who missed it in theatres a chance to enjoy it from home. Whether it continues its winning streak on OTT remains to be seen.
