Kiara Advani Reveals How 'Toxic' Became a Journey of Self-Discovery
Actor Kiara Advani has reflected on her experience of working on 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups', saying the film taught her to embrace unfamiliar situations, remain curious and view challenges as opportunities for personal growth.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas and starring Yash, the upcoming action drama features Kiara as Nadia. The actor recently shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse from the film and spoke about how stepping into a new character and unfamiliar world pushed her beyond her comfort zone.
"Films have a beautiful way of making us step into worlds we've never known, sometimes quite literally," Kiara wrote in an Instagram post. She said every new character, set and challenge helps her discover abilities she did not know she possessed.
Reflecting on her journey with 'Toxic', Kiara said the experience taught her "to be comfortable with the unfamiliar", while encouraging her to stay curious, keep learning and find joy in the adventure of filmmaking.
The actor added that embracing challenges has always been an important part of her understanding of growth. She believes saying yes to things that can be slightly intimidating can open the door to new experiences and self-discovery.
Meanwhile, the 'Toxic' trailer promises a visually ambitious action drama combining love, power, betrayal and redemption. At its centre is Yash's character Raya and his complicated relationship with his son, Ticket, adding an emotional dimension to the larger-than-life gangster setting.
The trailer also introduces characters played by Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi, offering glimpses of their relationships, conflicts and rivalries.
Produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups' is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 26.
