Kia launches 2026 Seltos with bigger size, smarter tech, and enhanced safety

Kia has introduced the 2026 Seltos in India with a complete design overhaul, a larger body, and major feature upgrades. Now measuring 4,460 mm in length and riding on Kia’s global K3 platform , the new Seltos offers a longer wheelbase and improved cabin space. The platform has also been reinforced for better crash protection, reflecting Kia’s focus on safety for the Indian market.

Inside, the SUV receives a modern tech-driven layout highlighted by a new 30-inch dual-screen setup , combining a 12.3-inch digital cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen. The cabin also features ventilated seats , dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof , a premium Bose audio system , and updated connectivity through Kia Connect 2.0 . Higher variants offer comforts like a 10-way powered driver seat , 64-colour ambient lighting, leatherette upholstery, and practical touches such as rear seat recline and expanded boot space.

Safety has received a major upgrade with a 24-feature standard safety package , which includes six airbags, ABS, ESC, VSM, TPMS, all-wheel disc brakes, ISOFIX mounts and hill-hold assist. The SUV also adds Level 2 ADAS , offering lane-keeping assist, high-beam assist, blind-spot monitoring, forward-collision alerts, highway driving assist, and more. These upgrades position the Seltos as one of the safest offerings in its segment.

The 2026 Seltos will be offered in 10 monotone colours such as Morning Haze, Pewter Olive, Aurora Black Pearl, Frost Blue, Glacier White Pearl and Gravity Grey. Buyers will also get two dual-tone options , Glacier White Pearl with Aurora Black, and Magma Red with Aurora Black. Multiple variants including HTE, HTK, HTX and GTX will be available, each with optional add-on packs.

Kia has begun bookings at ₹25,000 , while the official price announcement is scheduled for 2 January 2026 . Industry estimates suggest an expected range of ₹11 lakh to ₹22 lakh (ex-showroom) depending on engine and features. The powertrain lineup remains familiar, offering petrol, turbo-petrol and diesel engines with manual, iMT and automatic transmission choices.

With a bigger design, more features, expanded safety tech and fresh styling, the 2026 Seltos aims to strengthen Kia’s position in India’s competitive midsize SUV market.
