KCR to Address Public Meeting in Jagtial Today
The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has made extensive arrangements for a massive public meeting to be held today along the Mote Road in Jagtial . The event, titled ‘Praja Aashirvada Sabha’ , will see party chief K. Chandrashekar Rao address a gathering after nearly a year.
Party cadres believe this meeting will serve as a platform to restore the party’s past glory and mobilise support for KCR’s return as Chief Minister. During the event, senior leader Jeevan Reddy is set to formally join the BRS. Leaders expressed confidence that his induction will further strengthen the party in North Telangana .
KCR’s return to a public platform after nearly a year has gained significant political importance . Party leaders view the Jagtial meeting as a crucial step in regaining momentum, emphasising that public support and blessings will be key to achieving their political goals. Local leaders have made elaborate arrangements to ensure the success of the rally, which is expected to draw a large turnout of party workers and supporters , making it a major talking point in state politics.
Organisers estimate attendance in the lakhs , and have reportedly arranged around 300,000 water bottles and 200,000 buttermilk packets . KCR is scheduled to arrive at 5:30 PM , with the meeting set to begin after temperatures subside in the evening. Farmers, women, youth, and students are said to be eagerly awaiting his speech, with party leaders hoping the event will infuse fresh enthusiasm among the cadre.
Since the Congress government assumed office in Telangana following the 2023 elections , KCR has largely remained politically silent , which has sparked discussion within political circles. Despite holding the status of a former Chief Minister, his limited public appearances and absence from Assembly sessions have caused concern among party ranks.
Although he has appeared occasionally, his lack of active engagement compared to the past has left BRS workers eagerly awaiting his return to the forefront. Grassroots leaders believe that for the party to regain its strength, KCR must reconnect with the public. There is growing anticipation over when he will reassert his political voice , with people particularly keen to hear his sharp remarks . His speech is expected to target the Congress government and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy , making it one of the most closely watched political developments in Telangana today.
