Kavitha visits Tirumala temple, announces plans to launch political party soon
A major development is set to unfold in Telangana politics . Former MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha , daughter of former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao , announced that she will soon launch a new political party for the people of Telangana.
Speaking to the media after offering prayers to Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala , Kavitha disclosed the plan. She made the remarks after a court discharged her in the Delhi excise policy case . Following the court’s decision, she visited the Tirumala temple on Friday.
Kavitha said she had come to Tirumala to express gratitude for the blessings of the deity . “With the blessings of God, we will soon bring a new regional party for the people of Telangana. The entire country has seen how the Central government harassed us through investigating agencies and pursued political vendetta. I believe women across the country, especially the people of Telangana, will stand by me in this fight,” she said.
Kavitha stated that the mental distress she had endured over the past four years had come to an end with the grace of the Lord. She added that she had always maintained that truth, justice and righteousness were on her side. She also said that after receiving a complete clean chit in the case, she fulfilled her vow by walking to Tirumala.
Kavitha further said she prayed that although Telangana and Andhra Pradesh had separated administratively , cordial relations between the people of the two states should continue.
