Kavitha Questions Rahul Gandhi Over Delay in Two Lakh Jobs Promise
Telangana Jagruthi President Kalvakuntla Kavitha strongly attacked the Congress party over its election promise of providing two lakh jobs . Targeting Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi , she launched sharp criticism on Monday through her post on ‘X’ (Twitter). She stated that the Congress party itself represents the words “cheating” and “betrayal.”
She pointed out that it has been two and a half years since Congress promised that if it came to power, it would provide 2 lakh jobs within the first year . Kavitha wrote on X, addressing Rahul Gandhi, “Rahul Gandhi, give two lakh jobs. It has been two and a half years since the promise of providing 2 lakh jobs in the first year if Congress wins.”
She questioned whether the plight of unemployed youth is not audible to him when he visits Telangana. She alleged that the youth became the stepping stones for the party to come to power, but now, when they demand jobs, they are being suppressed through police action . She said the Youth Declaration has turned out to be bogus, there is no job calendar , and that Congress has given real meaning to the words betrayal and cheating. “This is a land born out of struggle. Keep your word. Immediately implement the filling of two lakh jobs,” she said in her suggestion to Rahul Gandhi.
Amid ongoing unemployment concerns in Telangana, these criticisms have gained significance. Meanwhile, party sources said that the Congress high-level leadership met at Sonia Gandhi’s residence in New Delhi to discuss the selection of candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections . It is reported that the names of Rajya Sabha candidates are likely to be announced within the next two days .
