Kavitha pledges to build a socially inclusive Telangana

Telangana Jagruthi President Kalvakuntla Kavitha has said that building a socially inclusive Telangana, where every section of society gets equal opportunities, is her prime objective. Speaking at a media interaction in Warangal, Kavitha emphasized that politics should not be an everyday affair, but something confined to election time - while the rest of the time must be dedicated to public welfare and development.

She stated that true politics lies in serving the people, not in mere political showmanship. Recalling her tenure when the BRS was in power, Kavitha mentioned that protocol restrictions had limited her activities to the Nizamabad region. “Even within those limits, I worked to the best of my ability for the people and never ignored my responsibilities,” she said.

Kavitha stressed that the essence of Telangana’s struggle was to ensure equality, justice, and progress for everyone. “Telangana Jagruthi will continue to work for a state where every community can live with dignity,” she declared. She also added that it is the duty of every political leader to understand people’s problems and provide lasting solutions.

Promising continued efforts for the welfare of unemployed youth, women, farmers, and students, Kavitha said she would always fight for fairness and opportunity for all. She appealed to citizens to stay united for development, putting aside political differences for the greater good of Telangana.

Criticism over lack of hostel for female engineering students

Expressing disappointment, Kavitha criticized the government for failing to provide hostel facilities for women studying engineering at Kakatiya University. She said it was unfortunate that in this modern era, female students pursuing higher education still lack even basic amenities.

“This reflects the government’s negligence,” she remarked, adding that Warangal district has two women ministers, yet neither has responded to this important issue. “Their silence on such a matter is shameful,” Kavitha said.

Calling Kakatiya University one of Telangana’s most prestigious educational institutions, she urged the government to take immediate steps to address the students’ needs. She demanded the sanction of funds and the start of construction for a new hostel for engineering students at the earliest.

“No one should compromise on the safety, dignity, and comfort of girl students,” she asserted.
