Kavitha mocked KTR and Harish Rao after Congress wins Jubilee Hills

Taking aim at her own party, suspended BRS MLC K Kavitha criticized the ruling BRS over its defeat in the Jubilee Hills by-election, urging her brother K T Rama Rao to step away from social media and focus on ground-level work.

Speaking to reporters in Medak, Kavitha also called on her brother and BRS MLA T Harish Rao to stop what she termed "cheating" and dedicate himself sincerely to the party’s cause. According to her, the Congress victory reflected public dissatisfaction with the BRS, which, she claimed, had failed to fulfill people’s aspirations.

"Ramu Anna (KTR) should leave social media and Twitter and come to the ground. That would be good for the people. Harish Anna should stop cheating. They Claim to be Krishna-Arjun but are shooting arrows at each other " Kavitha said.

Responding to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s remarks that BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao is not active in politics and faces health issues, Kavitha defended her father, stating that KCR is in good health. She suggested that Reddy’s comments were politically motivated.

Since her suspension from the BRS in September, Kavitha has been touring various districts, raising public issues under the banner of her cultural organisation, Telangana Jagruti. Her suspension followed allegations against her brother and party leaders T Harish Rao and J Santosh Kumar for allegedly "tarnishing" KCR’s image over the Kaleshwaram project.

Following the by-election results, Kavitha took to social media and tweeted, "Karma hits back," reflecting her reaction to Congress’s victory and her critique of the BRS leadership.

Meanwhile, KTR expressed gratitude to his online supporters, stating in a speech after the bypolls, "A big thanks to our social media warriors for their tireless efforts." His remarks highlighted the party’s growing reliance on digital campaigning, even as critics argued that ground-level engagement was lacking.

In the Jubilee Hills by-election held on Friday, Congress candidate V Naveen Yadav emerged victorious, defeating his closest BRS rival Maganti Sunitha by over 24,000 votes.
