Telangana Jagruthi President Kalvakuntla Kavitha joined the protest by Group 1 exam candidates at the Martyrs’ Statue outside the Assembly, alleging widespread procedural violations in the conduct of Public Service Examinations in the state.

Addressing the gathering, Kavitha said, “The Public Service exams in Telangana have been conducted without following proper procedures at multiple stages. The government has lacked transparency, leaving thousands of students with doubts. Despite students raising their concerns, the government is not listening. We are here at the Martyrs’ Memorial to draw attention to these issues and urge the Congress government to act.”

Kavitha also criticized both Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the Revanth Reddy-led state government, claiming they have failed to uphold promises of fair examinations.

On a separate note, she condemned the incident on Tuesday in which a shoe was hurled at Chief Justice of India BR Gavai, calling it an “unfortunate development.” Praising the CJI’s response, she added, “Justice Gavai’s reaction reflects the solid foundation of the Indian justice system, which I hope continues to thrive.”

Kavitha further targeted Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, alleging disrespect toward Dalit ministers. She said, “A Dalit minister was seated on a lower chair than the Chief Minister and his family at a prominent temple in Telangana. This reflects a continuing trend of disrespect toward Dalits in the state, which is unacceptable. Our protest also highlights this issue.”
