Kaushik Reddy Summoned by CID, Alleges Political Vendetta

The issuance of a CID notice to BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy has triggered a fresh political controversy in Telangana , bringing both legal and political dimensions into focus. The notice, linked to Crime No. 30/2026 registered at Huzurabad Police Station , was served under provisions of the BNSS Section 35(3) .

The case originates from an incident during the Sammakka Saralamma Jatara , a massive tribal congregation that sees lakhs of devotees and requires tight administrative control. According to police, the MLA allegedly staged a roadside protest , causing traffic disruption and inconvenience to the public at a time when authorities were managing heavy pilgrim movement. He is also accused of obstructing police , making inappropriate remarks , and disturbing public order , with videos of the confrontation going viral on social media.

As the case escalated, authorities transferred it for deeper probe, with the CID now summoning the MLA for questioning on April 4 at 11:30 AM. Officials have directed him to cooperate with the investigation, submit valid documents, and refrain from tampering with evidence, warning of legal action in case of non-compliance.

Reacting strongly, Kaushik Reddy alleged political vendetta by the government led by Revanth Reddy , claiming that he and his family are being deliberately targeted for raising questions against the administration. He asserted that despite mounting pressure, he would not retreat, stating that his fight is not personal but on behalf of the people, and that attempts to silence dissent will not succeed.
