Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata’ Set for June 12 Release
Actor Kangana Ranaut is set to headline the upcoming thriller Bharat Bhagya Vidhata , which is scheduled for a theatrical release on June 12. Directed by Manoj Tapadia, the film brings to the big screen a gripping story inspired by real-life courage during the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.
The film shines a light on the lesser-known heroes of Cama Hospital, who risked their lives to protect hundreds during the devastating attacks. Among them was nurse Anjali Kulthe, who reportedly safeguarded around 20 pregnant women, exemplifying extraordinary bravery in the face of danger.
Through its narrative, Bharat Bhagya Vidhata pays tribute to everyday workers including nurses, sanitation staff, and security personnel who played a crucial role in ensuring the safety of nearly 400 people during the crisis. The makers aim to highlight these unsung figures whose stories have largely remained out of the spotlight.
Speaking about the project, Ranaut described the film as a heartfelt salute to “quiet heroism” and a reflection of deep-rooted patriotism. The actor, known for choosing strong, character-driven roles, said the film underscores the importance of recognizing courage in its most unassuming forms.
Filming for the project was completed earlier this year, and the film is now gearing up for its theatrical debut. With its emotionally charged subject and real-life inspiration, Bharat Bhagya Vidhata is expected to strike a chord with audiences when it releases nationwide next month.
