The trailer of The India Story also titled The India Story: Slow Poison in Progress was unveiled recently, marking the return of Kajal Aggarwal in a hard-hitting socio-national drama. The film, directed by Chettan DK and presented by Zee Studios, is slated for a theatrical release on July 24, 2026 , in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu .

The film also stars Shreyas Talpade alongside a supporting cast that includes Murali Sharma and Manish Wadhwa. Centered on the misuse of chemicals in pesticide-driven farming, the narrative explores the long-term health consequences faced by communities, aiming to spark awareness and discussion around an issue of national importance.
