Jukkal MLA emphasizes village development and Panchayat empowerment

Jukkal MLA Thota Lakshmi Kantharao held a cordial meeting with newly elected sarpanches, deputy sarpanches, and ward members of the constituency, emphasizing the importance of village development and collaborative governance. The event was held at Bandayappa Function Hall in Bichkunda mandal.

The MLA congratulated the newly elected representatives and highlighted the crucial role they play in advancing rural development. He urged them to fully understand their responsibilities and work in close coordination to ensure progress in their villages.

Special attention was given to women sarpanches. MLA Thota Lakshmi Kantharao stressed that women leaders should exercise their roles independently without family members taking over, and that they should be supported with full freedom to govern according to democratic values.

Criticizing the previous government for neglecting the Jukkal constituency, he called for a united effort to rebuild the area. He outlined key development priorities, including roads, drainage, street lighting, drinking water, and primary healthcare facilities, and assured full support to every sarpanch in implementing these initiatives.

The MLA reiterated her vision to make Jukkal a model constituency across all sectors and expressed her commitment to providing Indiramma houses to every eligible poor family. She encouraged the elected representatives to work inclusively, beyond party lines, and suggested setting up libraries in every panchayat office to promote learning and community engagement.

He also acknowledged the efforts of party workers who contributed to the Congress candidates’ success in the sarpanch elections. Highlighting the party’s historic victory - winning 127 out of 164 seats - he said these results demonstrate Congress’ strong presence in the constituency. He encouraged party leaders to maintain this momentum for upcoming municipal, MPTC, and ZPTC elections, aiming to honor Chief Minister Revanth Reddy with further successes.

The event was attended by senior Congress leaders, including Kamareddy District Congress Committee (DCC) president Ale Mallikarjuna, mandal presidents, AMC chairpersons, newly elected sarpanches, deputy sarpanches, ward members, and party workers.
