Jubilee Hills by-election campaigns heat up ahead of polls

Campaigning for the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election has intensified, with all major political parties pushing their strategies to win voter support.

Congress steps up: Congress has ramped up efforts in the constituency, with party leaders actively campaigning for their candidate, Naveen Yadav. On Sunday, Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, along with local leaders, visited Rahmatnagar division, engaging with residents and party workers.

Minister Venkat Reddy urged voters not to trust the ruling BRS party, claiming Congress has historically delivered development and welfare in the area. He promised that electing Naveen Yadav would address pending issues, improve infrastructure, and support employment, women, and underprivileged communities. Party leaders encouraged people to vote for Naveen Yadav for a stable and welfare-oriented administration.

BRS mobilizes support: Meanwhile, BRS is strengthening its campaign strategy. Party Working President K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) held a special meeting at the Reliance Jubilee Gated Community in Shaikpet division, engaging directly with residents. KTR highlighted the state government’s development and welfare initiatives and discussed local issues faced by gated communities and middle-class residents.

Residents shared their concerns directly with the party leadership. KTR and other BRS leaders emphasized that electing their candidate would ensure better infrastructure, public safety, and overall development in the constituency.

Harish Rao targets Congress and Revanth Reddy: Former minister and BRS leader Harish Rao criticized Congress and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in a public meeting, calling out alleged failures and “downgrading politics.” He urged voters to support the BRS candidate, framing it as a way for the public to express their dissatisfaction with Congress. Harish Rao’s remarks have become a key talking point in the ongoing campaign.

BJP enters the fray:

The BJP has also increased its campaign momentum. Union Minister Kishan Reddy toured multiple areas of Jubilee Hills with party leaders and workers, interacting with residents and promoting central government welfare schemes. He expressed confidence in victory, urging voters to elect BJP candidate Lanka Deepak, stating that the constituency’s development could be better achieved under his party.

Development debate dominates campaigns: All parties have emphasized that electing their candidate is key to local development. While development is the responsibility of any government representative, it is a common electoral strategy to suggest that progress is more likely if a candidate from a particular party wins.
