Jubilee Hills assembly by-election polling ready to begin
All arrangements are in place for the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election scheduled for today. Polling will be conducted from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and anyone present in the queue by 6 p.m. will be allowed to vote, Election Officer R.V. Karnan confirmed.
Election officials, along with police authorities, inspected the polling arrangements on Sunday to ensure smooth operations. Hyderabad District Election Officer R.V. Karnan and Joint Police Commissioner Tafseer Iqbal personally reviewed the setup and security measures at the polling centers.
The officials paid special attention to posters, parking, interior facilities, emergency services, medical arrangements, police staff, and civil volunteers. They also assessed if there were any shortcomings or if additional staff were needed. Such reviews aim to provide voters with a safe and convenient voting environment.
Jubilee Hills constituency has over 400,000 registered voters. To facilitate voting, 407 polling stations have been set up across 139 locations, Karnan added.
