Jr NTR’s Devara Set for Long-Awaited Telugu TV Premiere on ETV

After keeping Telugu audiences waiting for nearly one-and-a-half years, Jr NTR’s Devara: Part 1 is finally said to be heading for its much-awaited Telugu television premiere. According to the latest industry reports, ETV Network is likely to acquire the satellite rights of the action entertainer, bringing an end to one of Tollywood’s most discussed television delays.

Ever since the film was released in theatres in 2024, fans have repeatedly questioned why the Telugu version never premiered on television despite the movie enjoying a successful OTT run and strong box-office performance. Interestingly, the Hindi version had already premiered months ago, while Telugu audiences continued waiting for an official update.

The unusual delay sparked massive conversations across social media platforms and Tollywood forums, with several fans speculating that the makers may have signed an exclusive streaming arrangement with Netflix before finalising a television deal.
