Jr NTR launches ‘Champion’ teaser ahead of Christmas release

The teaser of Champion was unveiled by Jr NTR on Monday, giving audiences a powerful glimpse into a period sports drama rooted in Telangana’s history . Titled Celebration of Champion , the 41 second teaser blends village festivities, intense football sequences and striking period visuals, instantly setting the tone for a story driven by passion and resistance.

Set in 1948 Secunderabad, the film stars Roshan Meka as Michael, a young footballer whose sporting dreams unfold against the backdrop of turbulent times. The narrative draws from the Bhairanpally massacre , a real life episode in which villagers stood up against the Nizam’s militia , adding historical depth to the emotional journey teased in the visuals.

The teaser highlights not just the sport but the spirit of a community, using folk celebrations and earthy aesthetics to reflect the era. Jr NTR praised producers Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt for consistently supporting fresh stories and new talent in the industry.
