JioHotstar sets OTT premiere for blockbuster ‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra’

JioHotstar has officially announced the digital premiere of the record-breaking Malayalam superhero fantasy film Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra . Directed by Dominic Arun and starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, the film has taken the nation by storm, earning widespread acclaim and grossing over ₹300 crore worldwide since its theatrical release on August 28, 2025.

Produced by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films, Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra has received appreciation from audiences across India for its stunning visual effects, powerful mythological narrative, and Kalyani’s compelling performance. The film’s box office success spans multiple Indian languages, making it one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films of all time.

After a record-breaking theatrical run, JioHotstar confirmed that the OTT premiere will stream in several Indian languages, giving fans nationwide another chance to experience the spectacle. Meanwhile, Asianet has acquired the satellite rights for the television premiere.
