Jio launches free AI classroom to empower learners across India

Reliance Jio has announced the launch of the ‘AI Classroom – Foundation Course’, a free, beginner-friendly program powered by JioPC, aimed at making every learner in India AI-ready. The initiative was unveiled on the inaugural day of the India Mobile Congress 2025, marking a significant step in democratizing access to artificial intelligence education.

The AI Classroom, developed in collaboration with Jio Institute, is a structured and certified online program designed to introduce beginners to the fundamentals and practical applications of AI. Accessible via PCs, desktops, laptops, and even through Jio Set Top Boxes using JioPC, the course follows a four-week learning path that blends theory with hands-on exposure to AI tools for productivity, learning, and creativity. It includes video-based lectures, practical assignments and culminates in an AI-powered capstone project. Participants will learn to apply AI concepts to real-world problems from improving study plans to creating digital content. JioPC, the platform powering the program, operates on a pay-as-you-go model and transforms any screen into a secure, always-updated computer system.

Speaking about the initiative, a Jio spokesperson emphasized that the program aligns with Jio’s mission to make high-quality, inclusive, and future-ready education accessible to all. Experts in the education and technology sectors have noted that the launch comes at a time when AI literacy is becoming a crucial skill across professions.
