
Jeevan Reddy Meets KCR, Set to Join BRS After Quitting Congress
Former minister and senior leader T. Jeevan Reddy has decided to resign from the Congress party and join the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) . He officially announced this decision after recently meeting BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) in Jagtial. He expressed deep dissatisfaction with the Congress government over the past 27 months and stated that working under KCR’s leadership is the right path for the state’s future.
As part of this development, Jeevan Reddy met BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) at the Erravelli farmhouse on Friday. The meeting between the two leaders, who had been political rivals for decades, has become a hot topic in political circles . The Erravelli residence witnessed a festive atmosphere, and KTR welcomed Jeevan Reddy with a garland.
During the meeting, Jeevan Reddy became emotional and said,
“Brother… At a time when Telangana is facing losses, I felt the need to work with you. That is why God himself sent me to you. After a long time, I am very happy to have the opportunity to work with you again.”
Responding warmly, KCR embraced him and honoured him with a shawl. The two leaders later held informal discussions on personal and political matters.
Leaders described the entry of Jeevan Reddy, known as a farmer leader , as a significant development for Telangana’s interests. Following the meeting, KCR hosted a lunch for Jeevan Reddy and his supporters . The meeting lasted around two hours and has gained importance in the current political context.
Former ministers Koppula Eshwar, Gangula Kamalakar, Prashanth Reddy , MLC L. Ramana , and Korutla MLA, among others, were present.
