The JEE Advanced 2026 examination will be conducted on May 17 in computer-based test mode across centres in India. The exam will consist of two compulsory papers , Paper 1 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and Paper 2 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, both covering Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates must appear for both papers to be considered for ranking.

Candidate response sheets are scheduled to be released on May 21, followed by the provisional answer key on May 25 . The final answer key and results are expected to be declared on June 1, 2026 .

Candidates who qualify in JEE Advanced will then participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process , which is expected to begin on June 2 for admission to IITs and other participating institutions.

Applicants seeking admission to architecture programmes at IITs must also appear for the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) , scheduled for June 4, 2026, after the JEE Advanced results are announced.

Authorities have advised candidates to carefully read the official information brochure and complete the application process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.
