‘January 12 Vidudala’: No Need To Ask When This Film Is Releasing

Victory Venkatesh and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram are set to share the screen for the first time in director Anil Ravipudi's upcoming Telugu multi-starrer, now officially titled ‘January 12 Vidudala’. The film is scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on January 12, 2027, during the Sankranthi festive season.

The title cleverly incorporates the film's release date and is reminiscent of the naming style of Vamsy's ‘April 1 Vidudala’. Reports said the makers had earlier considered titles including ‘Bammardhi Balreddy’ before finalising the current name. Ravipudi has also reportedly shot humorous promotional videos featuring the principal cast to announce the title.

The film brings together Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram in a fresh combination, with the two reportedly playing brothers-in-law. Venkatesh is said to portray Colonel Venkat Reddy, while Kalyan Ram plays his brother-in-law. The story is described as a rural family entertainer built around humour, family emotions and conflicts between the two characters.

Keerthy Suresh and Krithi Shetty are the female leads, with Keerthy paired opposite Venkatesh and Krithi opposite Kalyan Ram. G.V. Prakash Kumar is composing the music. The technical team also includes cinematographer Sameer Reddy, editor Tammiraju and production designer A.S. Prakash.

Produced by Sahu Garapati under Shine Screens, the film is presented by Suresh Productions, Smt Archana and Zee Studios. The project, previously known by the working titles ‘VenkyAnil5’ and ‘NKRAR2’, has already completed its first shooting schedule, keeping the production on track for its Sankranthi release.

The film also marks another collaboration between Venkatesh and Ravipudi following ‘F2’, ‘F3’ and ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunam’, adding to expectations around their latest festive entertainer.
