Janhvi Kapoor, Sreeleela Team Up With Siddharth Gupta For New Film

Janhvi Kapoor and Sreeleela are teaming up for the first time in an untitled romantic thriller that revolves around two women obsessed with the same man. Directed by Umesh Bist, the film has officially gone on floors in Nainital, Uttarakhand, with Siddharth Gupta playing the male lead. According to Variety India, the first shooting schedule is currently underway.

The project has attracted attention for bringing together Janhvi and Sreeleela, who have established fan bases in Hindi and South Indian cinema. While the makers have kept the characters and other plot details under wraps, the premise suggests a story driven by romance, rivalry and emotional obsession. The film’s title and release date have not yet been announced.

Nainital is a familiar filming destination for Janhvi, who has previously shot projects such as 'Mili' and 'Roohi' in the region. Siddharth Gupta is also returning to his home state for the shoot.

The film is produced by Ektaa Kapoor and Guneet Monga under their respective banners, Balaji Motion Pictures and Sikhya Entertainment. The collaboration brings together two prominent production houses for a story centred on two female characters and their shared fixation on one man.

Umesh Bist, who is directing the project, is known for helming 'Pagglait' and 'The Trial Season 2'. His previous work has explored different genres, and the upcoming film marks another project in his directorial career.

Meanwhile, Janhvi has several projects lined up, while Sreeleela is preparing to expand her presence in Hindi cinema. Their first collaboration has generated curiosity, particularly because of the unusual premise and the combination of two popular actors in a story built around a complicated romantic equation.

With filming now underway, further details about the untitled thriller, including its official title, supporting cast and release plans, are awaited.
