‘It Will Be Full Rest for Them’: TVK Leader Mocks M. K. Stalin, Udhayanidhi Stalin
Senior leader of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), C. T. R. Nirmal Kumar , on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), alleging that its cadre resorted to “ rowdyism ” across the state out of fear of defeat in the recently concluded Assembly polls.
Addressing reporters, Kumar claimed that party workers of the DMK had engaged in their “usual rowdy activities” in several parts of Tamil Nadu, suggesting that such behaviour stemmed from anxiety over the outcome of the April 23 elections.
He also took a swipe at Chief Minister M. K. Stalin and Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin , stating that both leaders had left for personal trips soon after the conclusion of polling. While Stalin reportedly travelled to Kodaikanal, Udhayanidhi was said to have gone to Dubai.
“In the coming days, it will be a complete rest for them,” Kumar remarked, in an apparent reference to the DMK’s electoral prospects. He further alleged that the ruling party’s leadership was largely focused on campaigning during the election period.
The DMK has not immediately responded to the allegations.
