ISRL Season 3 Set For Global Showdown As Nearly 150 Riders From 21 Countries Sign Up
The Indian Supercross Racing League is entering its third season with its biggest international field yet, as nearly 150 riders from 21 countries have signed up for the franchise-based championship.
The growing global interest underlines the rapid rise of supercross in India, with Season 3 set to feature four racing categories and a mix of established international names and emerging Indian talent.
France has the largest overseas contingent with 32 riders, followed by Australia with 20 and the United States with 18. Riders from Indonesia, Thailand, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Japan, Canada, South Africa, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka and Mongolia will also compete.
The 450cc International category has attracted 40 riders, while 54 have registered for the 250cc International class and 26 for the 250cc India-Asia Mix category. Thirty Indian riders have entered the 250cc Group A, Indian Futures and India-Asia Mix categories.
Defending champion Matt Moss will headline the premier 450cc field alongside Jordi Tixier, John Short, Anthony Bourdon, Gregory Aranda, Ryan Breece, Luke Clout and Anthony Rodriguez.
The 250cc International category also boasts strong competition, with Reid Taylor, Calvin Fonvieille, Justin Rodbell and Nico Koch among those entered.
India's hopes will rest on riders including Rugved Barguje, Prajwal Vishwanath, Shlok Ghorpade and Ikshan Shanbhag, who will face a significantly deeper international field.
Moss, who won the Season 2 title, said the competition had continued to rise with every edition and that he remained determined to chase another championship.
With an increasingly diverse field and international stars arriving in large numbers, Season 3 promises to be another major test of India's growing supercross ecosystem.
