Israeli drone strike kills three Palestinians as Gaza awaits US‑backed governance transition

An Israeli drone strike on Monday, 12 January 2026, at around 17:56 local time killed three Palestinians who had crossed the ceasefire line near the Morag Corridor in central Gaza, according to hospital officials.
