The Middle East conflict widened dramatically on Friday after Iran launched coordinated missile and drone attacks targeting Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait , while the United States responded with another round of strikes deep inside Iranian territory. The United States responded by launching its sixth consecutive night of strikes inside Iran, targeting bridges, a railway station and the strategic Chabahar Port on the Gulf of Oman , a critical trade gateway for Afghanistan . US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth released footage appearing to show a surveillance tower collapsing during the operation, while Iranian state media acknowledged fresh attacks on the port but did not comment on the reported destruction.
