iQOO 15 to debut with OriginOS 6 and android 16 on november 26 in India

iQOO has officially announced that its upcoming flagship smartphone, the iQOO 15, will launch in India on November 26, 2025. The device marks a major step forward for the brand, as it will be the first iQOO smartphone to ship with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 out of the box, introducing what the company calls a “faster, smoother, and smarter” user experience.

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor built on a 3 nm process, the iQOO 15 is designed to deliver a significant leap in processing speed and energy efficiency. The device also features LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, enabling faster app launches, reduced loading times, and improved multitasking. For gaming and performance-intensive use, the smartphone integrates iQOO’s proprietary Q3 gaming chip, which enhances graphics rendering and frame stability.

The display on the iQOO 15 features a 6.85-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with a 2K resolution and 144 Hz adaptive refresh rate, offering enhanced visual clarity and smooth motion handling. The adaptive refresh rate allows the display to intelligently switch between 1 Hz and 144 Hz based on content, balancing performance with battery efficiency. The device also includes an upgraded cooling system with a large vapour chamber, ensuring sustained performance during heavy usage.

On the imaging front, the iQOO 15 houses a triple rear camera setup, reportedly comprising three 50-megapixel sensors, including a periscope telephoto lens for improved zoom capability. The front camera is expected to feature a 32-megapixel sensor. Powering the device is a 7,000 mAh battery with support for 100 W wired and 40 W wireless charging, marking one of the brand’s largest and most versatile power configurations to date.

The introduction of OriginOS 6, based on Android 16, aligns with global smartphone trends focusing on AI integration, system optimisation, and enhanced privacy controls. The operating system features AI-driven performance tuning, on-device intelligence, and improved animation fluidity. According to iQOO, these advancements contribute to a “faster” performance, “smoother” visual interaction, and “smarter” system behaviour that adapts to user habits.

The iQOO 15 also offers IP68 and IP69 protection ratings, adding higher resistance to dust and water. With these combined upgrades in hardware and software, iQOO positions the device as its most advanced flagship yet, aimed at delivering a top-tier experience in speed, intelligence, and performance efficiency.
