
IOCL Northern region announces apprentice recruitment 2025–26: Apply now
IndianOil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Marketing Division–Northern Region, has issued a notification inviting applications for engagement of Trade, Technician and Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The apprenticeship opportunities are available across Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Through this recruitment drive, IOCL will engage over 1,600 apprentices in various disciplines. The posts include Technician Apprentices in engineering streams, Graduate Apprentices for general graduates, and Trade Apprentices in ITI trades and Data Entry Operator roles. State-wise vacancies have been notified and reservation will be applicable as per government norms.
Candidates must be between 18 and 24 years of age as on December 31, 2025, with relaxation for SC, ST, OBC-NCL and PwBD categories. Educational qualifications range from Class 12, ITI and Diploma to Graduation, depending on the discipline applied for.
The selection process will be completely merit-based and no written examination or interview will be conducted. A merit list will be prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification. In case of a tie, preference will be given to the older candidate, and if the date of birth is the same, higher marks in matriculation will be considered. Candidates applying for apprenticeship training for the first time will be given preference. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and will have to undergo a pre-engagement medical fitness test before final selection.
Selected apprentices will receive stipend as per the Apprentices Act along with an additional ₹2,500 per month as miscellaneous expenses. Graduate Apprentices will get ₹4,500 and Technician Apprentices ₹4,000 through DBT from BOAT, while Trade Apprentices will be paid directly by IOCL.
Applications can be submitted online from December 27, 2025 (10:00 AM) to January 12, 2026 (5:00 PM) through the NAPS or NATS portals, followed by mandatory submission of a Microsoft Office Form. Detailed information and updates are available on the official website www.iocl.com/apprenticeships.
