In a major push to position Telangana as a leading destination for global investments and emerging technologies, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has announced a series of ambitious initiatives, including the launch of a dedicated ‘Invest Telangana’ promotion cell, development of a 1,500-acre Data City , and accelerated execution of the proposed Bharat Future City project. The announcements were made during a high-level review meeting held at the Secretariat on Wednesday with Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu and senior officials.

The Chief Minister directed officials to establish a specialized investment facilitation mechanism aimed at attracting large-scale domestic and international investments into Telangana. A dedicated office, official logo, and website for Invest Telangana will be created to provide a centralized platform for investors. To further improve the ease of doing business, the government is also planning to introduce an “escort officer system” , under which designated officials will guide investors through approvals and administrative procedures.

Revanth Reddy instructed officials to study the industrial policies of states such as Tamil Nadu and Gujarat , which have emerged as major industrial hubs in recent years. He emphasized that Telangana must adopt globally competitive policies to strengthen its position in sectors such as information technology, electronics, manufacturing, and digital infrastructure.

As part of the state’s long-term technology vision, the government is planning to establish a massive Data City spread across nearly 1,500 acres to attract Global Capability Centers (GCCs) , data centers, and AI-driven companies. The Chief Minister said Telangana should no longer limit IT growth to Hyderabad alone and stressed the importance of expanding technology investments into Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.

Special incentives are expected for companies establishing GCCs and data centers along the Hyderabad-Nizamabad, Hyderabad-Karimnagar, and Hyderabad-Warangal corridors. Officials were also asked to formulate a dedicated GCC Policy to encourage companies to expand operations beyond Hyderabad.

Reviewing the ambitious Bharat Future City project, Revanth Reddy directed officials to ensure the city is developed with world-class infrastructure and environmentally sustainable net-zero policies . He instructed authorities to fast-track work related to the proposed AI City , Health City , and industrial corridors within the project area.

The Chief Minister also ordered immediate steps for land acquisition related to the proposed high-speed rail corridors connecting Hyderabad with major cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, and Mumbai. Additionally, he directed all government offices in Telangana to shift exclusively to T-Fiber internet services within the next three months as part of the state’s digital governance expansion plans.
