The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has delivered a strong vote of confidence to FIFA president Gianni Infantino, unanimously reaffirming its support for the Swiss-Italian administrator as scrutiny over his leadership continues to grow.

CAF’s Executive Committee thanked Infantino for what it described as his long-standing support for African football and praised FIFA’s preparations for the 2026 World Cup. The endorsement comes at a crucial time for Infantino, who is expected to seek another term as FIFA president when the election is held in March 2027.
