Indiramma Sewing Machine Scheme Applications Open Until September 15

The Telangana government has invited applications from eligible women for the Intintiki Indiramma Kuttu Machine Scheme, an initiative aimed at promoting self-employment and improving livelihood opportunities for economically disadvantaged women across the state.

The scheme is being implemented through the Telangana BC Finance Corporation under the Backward Classes Welfare Department. Eligible applicants can submit their applications online through the designated government portal.

Women aged 18 to 55 years are eligible to apply for the scheme. The government has also prescribed annual family income limits based on the applicant’s place of residence. For women living in rural areas, the annual income should not exceed Rs 1.50 lakh, while the limit for urban residents is Rs 2 lakh.

Applicants are required to keep certain documents ready while submitting their applications. These include an Aadhaar card, a ration card or income certificate, and a caste certificate.

Applications must be submitted exclusively through the Telangana OBMMS portal. The last date to apply is September 15, 2026. Applicants are advised to ensure that the information and documents provided during the online application process are accurate and complete.

The initiative is intended to help women establish or strengthen tailoring-based livelihoods by providing access to sewing machines, enabling them to pursue income-generating activities from their homes or through small tailoring units.

Officials have advised eligible women not to wait until the final date to submit their applications. Those seeking clarification about eligibility, documentation or other aspects of the scheme can contact their respective District BC Welfare Officer or the local BC Corporation office.

The government is encouraging eligible women across Telangana to make use of the opportunity and apply within the stipulated deadline.
