Indiramma Housing Second Phase To Be Completed By May-End: Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy
Telangana Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on Sunday participated in a Praja Darbar held at Kusumanchi, where he directly received petitions from the public. The programme was organised at the Zilla Parishad High School premises and was attended by District Collector Divakar T.S. and Additional Collector Dr P. Sreeja .
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the government’s objective is to eliminate the need for people to visit government offices repeatedly to resolve their issues. He explained that officials are reaching out to citizens, receiving petitions on the spot, and resolving feasible issues immediately. He further stated that Praja Darbars are being conducted by dividing mandals into clusters in the Palair constituency , emphasising that eligibility is the sole criterion and there is no place for politics in the process. He assured that all eligible applicants would receive justice.
The Minister noted that a majority of applications received at Praja Darbars are related to Indiramma housing , attributing the situation to the policies of the previous government. He said housing funds are being credited directly into beneficiaries’ accounts every Monday , and announced that the second phase of Indiramma house sanctions will be completed by the end of May .
Addressing long-pending issues, he said the government is taking special measures to resolve matters related to Sada Bainama , prohibited land lists , and land records , aiming for permanent solutions. He added that the implementation of welfare schemes has accelerated under the 99-day Praja Palana action plan , and ensuring timely justice to all eligible beneficiaries is the government’s responsibility.
On the agriculture front, the Minister stated that paddy and maize crops are being procured at Minimum Support Price , with payments credited to farmers’ accounts within a week. He said loan waivers have already been implemented for 25 lakh farmers, and Rythu Bharosa assistance has been increased to ₹12,000 per acre. Additionally, a bonus of ₹500 per quintal for fine paddy is being provided. He also announced that the distribution of subsidised agricultural machinery will be conducted from May 5 to May 7.
