Sastha Vasanth Ashok Kumar followed it up with another impressive win in the 37kg division against Kyrgyzstan’s Aziretali Sanzharbekov.

One of the standout performances came from Samir Bohra in the 43kg category, where he held his nerve to register a strong 4:1 win over Uzbekistan’s Adizbek Ilkhombekov. In the 52kg section, Sudarsan Vasudeva Chandak stamped his authority with an RSC victory against Iran’s Amirmahdi Shad.

India’s dominance continued in the heavier divisions as Mohd Yasser cruised to a convincing 5:0 win in the 58kg category, while Ronak Parag Lokhande secured another RSC victory in the 67kg division against Kyrgyzstan’s Mukhammadali Berdikulov.

Though seven Indian boxers missed out on the finals, they ensured podium finishes with bronze medals after spirited campaigns. Several bouts were closely contested, highlighting the depth of competition and the growing promise within India’s youth boxing setup.

With six finalists now one step away from gold, India will look to cap off an impressive campaign with a strong finish in the title bouts.
