India’s Hindu Majority Will Always Outnumber Muslims, Says MP Owaisi

AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has strongly refuted claims that the Muslim population in India could surpass the Hindu population . Speaking at a public rally in Nizamabad on Friday as part of Telangana municipal election campaigning, he condemned what he called “propaganda aimed at creating fear over population growth .”

Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi ’s recent Rajya Sabha speech, Owaisi highlighted that India is one of the few young nations in the world while most countries face population aging. He questioned what concrete steps the government has taken to provide employment and develop skills for India’s youth, which constitute about 60% of the population. He stressed that discussions on population should focus on economic challenges like rising living costs, rather than singling out any community.

Owaisi also criticized Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma over his controversial remarks on “Miya Muslims,” sarcastically questioning his logic and emphasizing that the Indian Constitution guarantees equal rights for all citizens. He noted that discriminatory statements, such as suggesting a community should “go to Bangladesh and vote,” are divisive and unconstitutional.

On international affairs, Owaisi condemned Pakistan’s comments about playing against India in the T20 World Cup , calling it inappropriate, and criticized the central government for remaining silent on the China border issue, urging a firm stance on national security matters.
