India concluded its campaign at the World Boxing Cup 2 in Guiyang, China , on a high note as Jyoti delivered a commanding performance to secure the country's lone gold medal, while three other Indian boxers settled for silver to complete an impressive six-medal haul.

Competing in the 48kg category , Jyoti produced one of her finest performances of the tournament, defeating Uzbekistan’s Farzona Fozilova by a unanimous 5-0 decision in the final. The victory was particularly significant as Fozilova entered the bout as the reigning World Boxing Cup Brazil gold medallist. Jyoti remained in complete control throughout the contest, displaying sharp technique, composure, and tactical awareness to emerge a deserving champion.

India’s medal tally received a further boost through three silver-medal finishes in the finals. Minakshi , who is currently ranked World No. 1 in the 48kg division, competed in the higher 51kg category and fought her way to the title clash. However, she was unable to overcome China's Wu Yu , going down 0-5 in the final and settling for silver.

Another promising performer, Prachi , enjoyed a strong campaign in the 57kg division . After an impressive run to the final, she faced Uzbekistan’s Nigina Uktamova in the gold-medal bout. Despite her determined effort, Prachi lost by a unanimous decision and finished with a silver medal.

In the men's competition, Deepak added another silver to India's tally in the 70kg category . The Indian boxer reached the final with a series of confident displays but faced a tough challenge against Kazakhstan’s experienced Ablaikhan Zhussupov . Deepak ultimately suffered a 0-5 defeat but earned valuable international recognition with his runner-up finish.

Earlier in the tournament, Jugnoo (85kg) and Nikhil (55kg) had secured bronze medals, ensuring India maintained a strong presence on the podium across multiple weight categories.

With one gold, three silver and two bronze medals , India finished the competition with a total of six medals , underlining the growing depth and strength of the country's boxing programme. The performances in Guiyang will provide significant confidence and momentum as Indian boxers continue their preparations for upcoming international competitions.
