Indian tech firms deepen UAE footprint as Proptech emerges the new frontier
As Indian tech-solution providers expand beyond traditional markets, the Gulf especially the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has fast become their preferred destination for global growth. Drawn by the region’s pro-business regulations, rapid digital adoption, and rising demand for advanced technology, Indian firms are increasingly establishing a sustained presence in Dubai and other emirates.
This shift is particularly visible in the UAE’s booming property technology (proptech) sector, signalling a new phase in India’s global tech ambitions. Instead of only exporting software, Indian companies are now helping shape the Gulf’s digital economy. Proptech technology applied across construction, design, transactions, and asset management has gained unprecedented momentum in the UAE, where record real-estate activity is driving interest in artificial intelligence (AI)-driven, transparent, and efficient property solutions.
Gagan Arora, Founder and President of Vertex Group, which recently entered the UAE proptech market, said Indian firms are emerging as key facilitators of cross-border investment. “We are committed to empowering Indian investors and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with seamless access to the UAE real-estate market through our partnership with Silverleaf Real Estate,” he said. “By combining Vertex Group’s customer-experience expertise with advanced AI-driven solutions, we aim to create a transparent, tech-enabled platform that simplifies every stage of cross-border property investment.”
He added that the company intends to set “a new benchmark for ease of doing business in the UAE” through a fully integrated digital ecosystem.
The UAE has strengthened its position as a global expansion hub for Indian tech companies, supported by 100% foreign ownership, low taxation, streamlined regulations, and deeper economic ties under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between India and the UAE. Dubai’s growing appeal is also reflected in investor activity: Indians accounted for about 22 per cent of the city’s property transactions in 2024, supported by transparent systems, access to global capital, and high investor appetite. Industry experts say these factors make the UAE an ideal base for AI-led proptech and next-generation digital solutions.
India’s expanding business presence in the UAE is also delivering wider strategic gains. The partnership strengthens bilateral ties and enables Indian firms to access markets across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Africa, and Europe. Operating within the UAE’s advanced digital ecosystem opens channels for technology transfer, innovation, and engagement with sovereign wealth funds (SWFs), while giving Indian MSMEs and professionals greater global exposure. As UAE developers and investors increasingly adopt Indian proptech solutions, India’s technological influence across the region continues to rise.
The UAE’s strong economic pull is reflected in its real-estate performance. In 2024, Indian buyers invested nearly 35 billion United Arab Emirates dirhams (AED) in Dubai, representing around 22 per cent of all transactions. Public data shows more than 29,000 Indian nationals collectively own over 35,000 homes in the emirate. Across the UAE’s four major emirates, real-estate activity totalled nearly AED 893 billion from more than 331,000 transactions last year. Dubai alone accounted for AED 760.7 billion in property transactions from 226,000 activities.
According to the Dubai Land Department (DLD), total property sales reached AED 522 billion through 180,000 sale transactions in 2024, while mortgage deals crossed AED 187 billion.
Commenting on the partnership, Mandeep Singh, spokesperson for Silverleaf Real Estate, said the collaboration with Vertex Group will raise value delivery standards in a competitive market. “With deep market knowledge and a portfolio of exclusive properties, Silverleaf remains committed to a seamless service experience,” he said.
Vertex Group said its proptech platform will offer an end-to-end digital ecosystem covering property booking, workspace setup, and AI-powered recommendations for schools, healthcare, and essential services positioning the firm as a comprehensive facilitator for cross-border investors entering the UAE.
