Indian Supercross Racing League concludes, Gujarat Trailblazers rise in Hyderabad round

The second round of the Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) Season 2 concluded on Saturday at the GMC Balayogi Athletic Stadium in Gachibowli, delivering a thrilling day of high-speed racing and international motorsport action. The event was officially flagged off by Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, with ISRL Brand Ambassador Salman Khan and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu in attendance, drawing thousands of fans for freestyle stunts, qualifying heats, and the main races.

Over 18,000 spectators packed the stadium, creating an electric atmosphere as riders tackled dirt tracks, 20-foot ramps, and challenging circuits. The one-day format ensured a compact yet action-packed schedule, culminating in the final races and declaration of winners.

The Hyderabad round featured a truly international lineup, with competitors from France, Indonesia, Australia, USA, Germany, Thailand, South Africa, and India, including standout riders Rugved Barguje and Ikshan Shanbhag. A total of 36 international athletes from 21 countries participated, underlining ISRL’s growing stature as a global motorsport league.

Team Gujarat Trailblazers emerged as the top-performing team for the Hyderabad round. Anthony Bourdon (France, BB Racing) won the 450cc International Class on a Honda CRF 450 R, while Calvin Fonvieille (France) claimed the 250cc International Class aboard a Yamaha YZ 250. In the fiercely contested 250cc India-Asia Mix category, Nakami Makarim (Indonesia, BigRock Motorsports) surged to victory on a Kawasaki KX 250.

CM Revanth Reddy highlighted Telangana’s focus on empowering youth through world-class sports infrastructure. He noted that hosting international-standard leagues like ISRL reflects the state’s commitment to promoting innovation in sports, creating employment opportunities, boosting tourism, and positioning Hyderabad as a global sporting destination. Events of this scale, he added, play a key role in inspiring discipline, resilience, and pride among the younger generation.

Salman Khan, meanwhile, expressed his excitement at the event, describing the energy in the stadium as extraordinary. He remarked on the thrill of watching Indian and international riders push their limits on home soil and emphasized that ISRL is creating a meaningful platform where young talent can access global-level opportunities within a safe, professional environment.

Beyond racing, the event offered a festival-like experience with the Reise Moto Fan Park featuring live music, racing simulators, interactive brand zones, rider meet-and-greets, merchandise, and food stalls.

ISRL now moves to Kozhikode, Kerala, for the Grand Finale on December 21, promising an intense season-ending showdown.
